Use it at your\n> own risk, especially on acquisition hardware. If you want to start experimenting with\n> it, please contact the maintainers.\n\nEffusive is an open-source acquisition and control application for functional ultrasound\nimaging (fUSI) on Verasonics Vantage systems. It provides a napari-based interface for\nconfiguring acquisitions, visualizing B-mode and power Doppler images in real time, and\nrecording fUSI data. Effusive builds on\n[EchoFrame](https://github.com/BrainEchoLab/EchoFrame) for high-performance ultrasound\nbeamforming and acquisition.\n\n## Requirements\n\n- Linux or Windows.\n- Python 3.11 with `uv`.\n- MATLAB R2024a.\n- Verasonics Vantage software 5.0.0.\n- [EchoFrame](https://github.com/BrainEchoLab/EchoFrame)\n- Optional: a sender for [mpep](https://github.com/cortex-lab/mpep)-compatible UDP experiment-control messages.\n\n## Run\n\nOn Windows, start terminal as administrator.\n\n```bash\nuv run effusive\n```\n\nThen click the play button in the napari sidebar. The UI stays in `Starting...`\nuntil the first frame arrives from MATLAB.\n\n## Configuration\n\nDefaults ship in `src/effusive/default_config.toml`. User settings persist in\n`platformdirs.user_config_dir(\"effusive\")` as `current_config.toml`\n(for example `~/.config/effusive/current_config.toml` on Linux).\n\nConfig covers probe defaults, acquisition settings, storage path,\nsimulate mode, z-stack defaults, BIDS-like metadata, and the last crop ROI.\n","description_content_type":"text/markdown","keywords":null,"home_page":null,"download_url":null,"author":null,"author_email":null,"maintainer":null,"maintainer_email":null,"license":null,"classifier":["Development Status :: 3 - Alpha","Framework :: napari","Intended Audience :: Science/Research","Operating System :: Microsoft :: Windows","Operating System :: POSIX :: Linux","Programming Language :: Python :: 3.11","Topic :: Scientific/Engineering :: Medical Science Apps."],"requires_dist":["matlabengine>=24.1,<24.2","napari[all]>=0.9.0","numpy>=1.24","platformdirs>=3.0","pyserial>=3.5","tomli-w>=1.0"],"requires_python":">=3.11, <3.12","requires_external":null,"project_url":null,"provides_extra":null,"provides_dist":null,"obsoletes_dist":null},"npe1_shim":false}
